內容:扶輪青少年領袖獎(RYLA)是專為青少年所成立的建構性計劃,分成14-18歲及19-30歲兩組以符合不同年齡層的需求。國際扶輪理事會鼓勵各扶輪社及地區考慮邀請具有領導潛力,但社會及經濟條件不佳的青少年參加扶輪青少年領袖獎計劃。(彙編44.050.4)Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a Structured Program for young people usually aged 14 through 18 and 19 through 30, age groupings which are meant to address varying needs and maturity levels. The RI Board encourages clubs and districts to consider inviting socially and economically disadvantaged youth with leadership potential to participate in RYLA programs. (RCP 44.050.4.)扶輪青少年領袖獎的目的在培養社區青少年的領導能力、優秀的公民素質、以及個人能力。扶輪青少年領袖獎計劃可以在扶輪社或地區階層實施,通常採研討會或領袖訓練營的形式。(彙編44.050.1)扶輪青少年領袖獎的目標為:RYLA is intended to develop qualities of leadership, good citizenship, and personal development among the young people of their communities. RYLA programs may be conducted at the club or district level, and most often occur in either a seminar or leadership camp format. (RCP 44.050.1.) The objectives of a Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program are:1) 進一步展現扶輪對青少年的尊重及關懷;To further demonstrate Rotary’s respect and concern for youth;2) 透過訓練以鼓勵並協助被挑選出來的青少年領袖及有潛力的青少年領袖學會負責及有效的自發性青少年領導方法;To encourage and assist selected youth leaders and potential leaders in methods of responsible and effective voluntary youth leadership by providing them with a training experience;3) 鼓勵持續且更有力的青少年領導青年少的作法;To encourage continued and stronger leadership of youth by youth;4) 公開表彰許多服務社區的青少年領袖。(彙編44.050.2) To publicly recognize the qualities of many young people who are rendering service to their communities as youth leaders. (RCP 44.050.2.)扶輪青少年領袖獎計劃應該包含一套含有下列主題的核心課程:RYLA programs should include a core curriculum addressing the following topics:1) 領導要領;The fundamentals of leadership;2) 正面領導的倫理;The ethics of positive leadership;3) 溝通技巧對有效領導的重要性;The importance of communication skills in effective leadership;4) 問題解決及衝突管理;Problem-solving and conflict management;5) 何謂扶輪以及扶輪能為社區做什麼;What Rotary is and what it does for the community;6) 建立自信心及自尊心;Building self-confidence and self-esteem7) 社區及世界公民的要素,同時反應當地相關問題,並依當地習慣來實施。(彙編44.050.3.) The elements of community and global citizenship, while reflecting issues of local relevance and carried out in a manner appropriate to local customs. (RCP 44.050.3.)鼓勵參與扶輪青少年領袖獎之扶輪社員:Rotarians involved in RYLA are encouraged to:1) 彼此聯繫、分享資訊、並出席對方的扶輪青少年領袖獎活動;make contact with each other, share information, and attend each others’ RYLA events;2) 籌辦多地區及/或國際級的扶輪青少年領袖獎活動;organize RYLA events at the multidistrict and/or international levels;3) 把扶輪青少年領袖獎活動的資訊放在網際網絡上,包括重要訓練材料;place information about their RYLA events on the Internet, including key training materials;4) 邀請很少有機會參加領袖培養訓練者來參加扶輪青少年領袖獎,包括來自其他組織的候選人;invite RYLA participants who may not have easy access to leadership development opportunities, including candidates from other organizations;5) 請扶輪青少年領袖獎參加人員參與發展未來的扶輪青少年領袖獎活動,並鼓勵他們參與輔導工作,來延續參加人員與領袖獎之間的關係。(彙編44.050.5) provide continuity to the participants of their RYLA events by including them in the development of future RYLA events and encouraging them to become involved in mentoring. In addition, governors and directors are encouraged to include RYLA in the programs of the district assembly, the district conference, and Rotary institutes. (RCP 44.050.6.)
